Shakespeare
Today we did an exercise with sitting in a chair and talking out loud to yourself about anything. I talked about my life as an athlete and all the hating that occurs in a high school student athlete life. This exercise felt weird because you were really talking to yourself, but it helped the class. The purpose of the exercise was to project your voice on stage. This being connected to the cast and characters such as Caesar. We also started rehearsing our lines on stage doing the “procession” in the play. The procession is when I’m coming down the stairs entering Rome. Everyone had their lines well but Jim kept changing something, so we rehearsed it like 15 times. I like my part as Julius Caesar and enjoyed practicing. I believe everyone will do well. The exercises are real helpful.
